The Condition

The workgroups in the organization were unable to work with alignment and create a work environment conducive for business success and growth. Added to that was the complexity generated by new people from diverse backgrounds and experience who were hired when delivery operations were moved to Bengaluru.

The immediate challenge they were facing were:

  • Service a new large multinational client at a much higher standard of quality.
  • Significant workload coming in from other existing clients.
  • New significant business opportunities knocking the door.
  • Frequent breakdowns in delivery due to human errors and lack of cooperation across workgroups.
  • Lack of responsible and accountable decision making and execution in the Administration and Finance workgroups.

The organization lacked the required work culture, direction and alignment to capture and reliably deliver on existing and new opportunities. The founders and executives were apprehensive that the existing breakdowns in operations would persist and lead to loss of reputation and clients.

Interventions Conducted

Series of conversations with the Founder and Executives to discover the hidden issues that were thwarting and constraining people’s performance and alignment across workgroups.

Key people were coached one-on-one on phone and in person to start dissolving rigid individual points of views, break through silos and begin to provide leadership that made a difference.

One three day, in-person conference to transform the culture of the organization and create a new Co-Created Future. The specific outcomes that were realised coming out of the workshop were:

  • Participants recognised and dismantled “persistent barriers” that thwarted organisational productivity.

  • Participants expanded their ability to work with others in a way that generates alignment, elicits cooperation, and committed action
  • Participants discovered Actionable Pathways to Integrity and Responsibility that would result in them realising organisational objectives and its future.

The behavioural changes conjoined with a self-generated culture of Integrity, authentic communication, cooperation and alignment resulted in enhanced productivity. The team found itself sharing a sense of pride and respect with a distinct clarity in their roles and responsibilities. Growth began and was realized in all aspects of the business. Top line results grew by over 50% and the company saved hugely on employee hiring and training owing to reduced rate of attrition. The number of clients increased and the added strength allowed the company to service these new clients very well.
